On October 10, 2012 round table ‘Privatization: Objectives of the State, Expectations of the Investors’ took place, organized by the Vedomosti newspaper.
The venue was participated in by President of JSC Russian Railways V.I.Yakunin, Director General of JSC Sovcomflot S.O.Frank, head of the Working Group on Creating an International Financial Center A.S.Voloshin as well as representatives of federal ministries and agencies, Russian and foreign business circles and the expert community.
A two-day Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Trade within the framework of APEC Summit Week finished on September 6, 2012 in Vladivostok. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov and the Minster of Economic Development of the Russian Federation A.R. Belousov co-chaired the Meeting.
During the week as of September 2 through September 9, 2012 there will be meetings of leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economies held on the Russky Island in Vladivostok, which week will close the year of the Russian Federation chairmanship in the APEC forum.
During this week APEC leaders will hold a number of official meetings and conferences:
- Closing meeting of senior officials of APEC, September 2-3, 2012;
- Joint meeting of ministers of foreign affairs and trade of APEC, September 5-6, 2012;
On 5, April, 2012, in Moscow Minister Elvira Nabiullina participated in a meeting of the Government Presidium.

Russia has taken over the rotating chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in 2012 and will host this year’s APEC Leaders’ Week in Vladivostok. For Russia this honour comes with a great sense of responsibility. Just as Russia is an integral part of the vast and forward-reaching Asia-Pacific region, that is crucial for the socio-economic development of Russia, especially Siberia and the Far East.
