In Buryatia, together with the MAI will prepare personnel for the aviation plant

From 2020, a structural unit of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) will be created on the basis of the East-Siberian State University of Technology and Management. University students will be able to undergo training in new joint educational programs in the areas of "Aircraft and helicopter manufacturing", as well as "Design and technological support for machine-building industries" and are practically guaranteed to be employed upon completion of training at the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.

“We assess the staffing needs of large companies in the region in order to agree with educational institutions on the training of such specialists. At the request of the region and the employer and with the support of our Agency, it was decided to include the university of the Republic of Buryatia in the Program of measures for training personnel for key sectors of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District, which allowed to conclude an agreement between the regional university and the MAI, ”comments Director General of the Human Capital Development Agency in the Far East.

During the year, universities must agree on educational programs, curricula, determine the faculty, prepare a plan of practical training.

“We believe that training is reaching a new level. For our university it is very important to cooperate with a partner such as the MAI. We see prospects not only in increasing the number of graduates for the aviation plant, but also in terms of scientific work with a leading Moscow university - developing curricula, exchanging experience, conducting joint research, we hope for a wide fruitful cooperation, ”said Igor Sizov on scientific work and innovation of ESSUTU, doctor of technical sciences.

The Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant has long been a strategic partner of the ESSUTU, university students undergo practical training at the enterprise and, after graduation, become its employees. But the number of university graduates is not enough to meet the current needs of the plant, which is confirmed by the employer.

“The lack of engineers is relevant for many enterprises. And this is despite the measures taken by employers. The situation can be rectified only when decisions are made at the highest state level, for example, the opening of a structural unit of the Moscow Aviation Institute in the Republic of Buryatia, as well as thanks to the constant and comprehensive dialogue of the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, the Agency, universities and executives. The decision made by the government will allow engineers to be trained in accordance with the requirements of economic priorities, as well as to ensure productivity growth based on new technologies, ”said Rasul Elkanov, director of personnel and social policy of Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.

Recall, the Chairman of the Russian Government, Dmitry Medvedev, on June 17, 2019 signed an order amending the program for training personnel for key sectors of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and supporting young people on the labor market for the period up to 2025. In accordance with the document, a structural unit of the Moscow Aviation Institute will be created on the basis of the East-Siberian State University of Technology and Management on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia, and a structural unit of the National Research Technological University MISiS will be created on the basis of Trans-Baikal State University.
