Construction of one of the largest pig farms in the Far East is being completed in Kamchatka

The ecofarm of the full production cycle for 36 thousand heads in Kamchatka is preparing to earn in full force. While the builders are improving the territory and completing the premises, the company works by 85%. But by the autumn they plan to launch it at full capacity.

“The first complex was built in 2011. In 2016, construction began on the second stage. Most of the funding - borrowed funds. At the same time, we receive substantial measures of state support: this is compensation for the interest rate, subsidies for the purchase of feed. Within the framework of the federal program, infrastructure construction was financed, ”explained Vladimir Rubakhin, Development Director of Agrotech Holding, CJSC.

The farm produces animals of elite breeds “Landrace”, “Yorkshire”, “Duroc”, the meat of which experts recognize as the best in taste. During the construction of pig houses used modern technology. For example, a special feed from natural grain products is fed to animals at certain times through pipes. Products come to the shelves of the Kamchatka Krai under the Ekofarma Sokoch brand.

This project was the first in the region with an investment volume of more than 1 billion rubles. Therefore, two years ago, a government subcommission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister - Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev recognized the project as particularly significant. The construction of power facilities and access roads financed the federal budget.

The construction of such a complex not only creates jobs for residents of the region, but also solves the important issue of providing the population with high-quality chilled meat. When production starts operating at full capacity, the demand for pork in the Kamchatka region will be 70 percent closed.

“Thanks to the implementation of this project, the problem of providing the inhabitants of Kamchatka with chilled pork meat will be solved. In addition, this is a serious step forward for the processing industry, which will work on this raw material: the creation of new jobs and the saturation of the market for meat products. The pricing policy that the manufacturing company today adheres to is quite loyal to the buyer, ”said Vladimir Ilyukhin, the governor of Kamchatka Krai.

To implement the project, other Far Eastern regions were also connected to work. Thus, the Primorsky Territory helps in growing the food supply and its delivery to Kamchatka, the compound feed for the complex is produced on the peninsula by the Kamchatka Mill plant, which began work after modernization in November last year. Finished meat and meat products are also delivered to the neighboring Chukotka.
