Over 10 years, about 870 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization and creation of new industries, almost half are invested in priority investment projects. In fact , to date, the timber industry complex almost completely provides the market with domestic products ,

stressed in his speech the Minister.

According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, key points of growth for timber industry enterprises in the short term have already been identified: the production of pulp, sanitary and hygienic products, packaging and recycled cardboard, wooden housing construction. Including, for the transition of the industry to a qualitatively new level, it is necessary to increase its attractiveness for capital investments.

"Ministry of Industry proposed to the Government to transform the mechanism of priority investment projects for the purpose of consolidation and create more favorable conditions for investors, reducing the requirements for confirmation of funding from 100 to 50% for three-year projects, and up to 25% for long-term, - said Denis Manturov, - The most important industry projects, such as the construction of new pulp and paper mills, we plan to implement in the format of federal special interest contracts, with the appropriate preferences. In addition, taking into account the plans to create an integrated infrastructure around anchor pulp and paper mills, we are preparing changes in the mechanism for supporting clusters. "

He also explained that with regard to smaller projects, potential investors were invited to start negotiations with the authorities of the subjects of the federation on using the mechanism of regional SPICs.

Separately, the head of the department dwelt on the issues of providing the industry with raw materials and logging equipment, noting that an important aspect in supporting demand is promotion in the domestic and foreign markets.

To this end, together with the REC, joint exhibition exposures and business missions are organized. A striking example is the international building exhibition Batimat held in Paris in November, where almost a full range of building materials from wood and technology of wooden housing construction was presented. Promotion to the foreign market is facilitated, among other things, by the mechanism that we are implementing to compensate transportation costs when transporting high-tech products for export ,

Denis Manturov noted.
