Denis Manturov Headed The Russian Delegation At The Biggest International Exhibition IESS-2017

 Today in the city of Chennai (India) opened the VI International exhibition of high-tech products IESS-2017.

In 2017 the Russian Federation for the first time received the honorary status of "partner countries" event. At this time our country is exhibiting a unified national exhibition, with the participation of 10 regions and more than 40 companies. The Russian delegation was in Chennai headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov .

In the morning, on the eve of the opening of the exhibition, held a bilateral meeting with head of the Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov with Indian Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman. The sides discussed a number of projects, including cooperation in the field of civil aviation and the development of transport corridor "North-South".

Then the two ministers attended the opening of the Russian pavilion also became participants of the signing of the Understanding between the Corporation of the Moscow region and support the organization of industry and exports of India EEPC India, which aims to support industrial cooperation and mutual investments.

For the first time as part of the Russian exposition at the site overseas attended the young engineer and inventor - participants of the International Festival of Children and Youth Research and Technical Creativity "From the screw!". The festival is supported by the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Engineering Union and aims to develop a new generation of engineering talent.

After inspection of the Russian pavilion Denis Manturov took part in the Russian-Indian Business Forum "New directions of trade and economic partnership between the two countries." During the event, it was noted that today Russia and India continue successful practice of bilateral business forums, which are used for almost all international platforms. Despite the already-established format, interest has not only reduced, but also continues to grow, involving a wider range of companies.

Over the years, our strategic partnership built up steadily in many traditional sectors, usually with the participation of major national companies. Undoubtedly, this vector will prevail in the coming years. But in parallel, the management of our country considers it necessary to begin now actively expand the diversification of trade and economic relations, making a bet on the regions, as well as small and medium businesses
