Evgeni Dietrich met with the Russian trade union of railway workers and transport builders

The meeting was held on July 31 at the Ministry of Transport of Russia, on the eve of the professional holiday - the Railwayman's Day.

Discussed including measures of state support for the industry. We are talking about compensation for losses in the implementation of suburban passenger traffic, as well as updating the rolling stock. “I would like to note the importance of the decisions made on long-term support of passenger traffic. Many regions have already achieved positive results in the work of the suburban railway service. And today it is extremely demanded, and it surely fits into the schemes of transport services for the population in our regions - this is, first of all, the connection of the city with the region and airports, ”the minister noted.

Also, there was a steady growth in passenger and freight traffic on the railway network. The regulatory framework is also being improved. The Government of the Russian Federation is considering a number of bills aimed at ensuring safety and reducing injuries on railways, effective planning of the federal budget in the construction of new facilities, ensuring environmental safety, and many others. “The railway today is part of a large transport complex. Of course, the important work is the application of modern management methods, the introduction of high technologies. All this sets us up to further close cooperation with you. Let's not lose pace and move only forward, ”summed up the head of the Ministry of Transport.

The meeting participants discussed issues of creating the necessary working conditions for women in positions with harmful production factors, salaries of university employees, outsourcing on railway transport, creating safe conditions for employees of locomotive brigades in case of emergency situations at level crossings, and a number of others.
