Residents of the Far Eastern regions of pre-retirement age can remain competitive at any age, having learned a new specialty for free. Previously, only unemployed pre-pensioners could retrain, now this program is also available for working citizens.

Far Easterners who have reached pre-retirement age, that is, 5 years before the age of eligibility for the old-age insurance pension, including early pre-term, can receive training. A free certificate is paid for one-time vocational training, retraining or advanced training of any form, including full-time, part-time, distance, group or individual, lasting no more than three months and costing no more than 68.5 thousand rubles.

Vocational training is carried out at the initiative of citizens of pre-retirement age. At the same time, employers can also send their employees for training. In this case, they independently pay for employee training, and then receive compensation from the regional and federal budgets. It is worth noting that non-working Far Easterners can receive a scholarship during the period of study.

To date, in Primorye Territory, more than 200 Primorye citizens have already taken advantage of the opportunity to receive free certificates for training. According to the regional department of labor and social development, 130 citizens who applied for free certificates for training already have a job. One of them is Tatyana Litvinova, a resident of Spassk-Dalny, who has been working in the personnel department for more than 30 years at the Spassky branch of the Vladivostok Basic Medical College. Tatyana Litvinova decided to attend internship courses under the “HR Specialist” program in person, the employer went to meet each other.

About a hundred pre-pensioners are retrained in the Khabarovsk Territory. Only in April-May 2019, 17 residents of the region began to study. According to the information of the Committee on Labor and Employment of the population of the government of the Khabarovsk Territory in the region, a list of the most popular and priority occupations is formed, which includes 134 specialties. Today in the region, citizens of pre-pension age are already studying the professions of an accountant, a cook, a tailor, a navigator, a loader driver, a clerk, a hairdresser. It is planned that this year more than 482 residents of the region will be able to complete additional vocational training in the region.

For citizens living in remote areas, distance learning is organized. So, the 57-year-old resident of the Nikolaevsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory is receiving distance education in the clerical profession. After training, he is guaranteed employment in the administration of a rural settlement. During the period of study he receives a scholarship of 15,792 rubles per month.

In the Amur Region, certificates confirming the status of a pre-pensioner have already been received by more than 1,600 residents. Several people have already mastered the profession of shoemaker.

It should be noted that free training for pre-retirement age specialties in the Far Eastern market that are in demand in the labor market is carried out as part of the national project “Demography”.
