On February 6, A Business Mission Of Russian Exporters In Vienna

 The main task of the business mission, organized by JSC "Russian Export Center", is the development of trade and economic ties between Russia and Austria.

The Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Georgy Kalamanov , included enterprises and organizations of various industries: the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the Union of Textile Companies, Affirmative Systems, Teikovsky Cotton Mill, and others.

In addition, Deputy Director of the Department for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Zalina Kobesova and Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Austria Alexander Potemkin, Regional Director of the Austrian Economic Chamber Michael Angerer , as well as Austrian companies CROMA-PHARMA GmbH, EUCODIS Bioscience GmbH, HOOKIPA Biotech AG took part in the event. , OBJENTIS Software Integration GmbH and others.

At the opening ceremony of the business mission, the parties discussed priority areas for export cooperation and opportunities for the development of joint projects. In his speech, Georgy Kalamanov noted that the Russian side attaches special importance to cooperation with Austria. For many decades, Austria has been and remains for Russia one of the main trade and economic partners in Central Europe.

Given the friendly and partner nature of relations between our countries, we need to further strengthen bilateral relations and implement joint projects. At the same time, the basis for cooperation on this track should be joint long-term projects with an increase in the high-tech component

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation drew attention to the perspective directions of industrial cooperation are the timber industry complex, pharmaceuticals, waste processing, and the aviation industry.

Within the framework of the business mission, Russian companies visited the Agency for Support of Small and Medium Business, as well as the production complex of the Austrian company - world leader Backaldrin. The participants of the visit got acquainted with the technologies for the production of ingredients for the bakery and confectionery industry.
