The first batch of new buses arrived in Chita

In the capital of the Trans-Baikal Territory, 6 new large-capacity buses for passenger traffic were acquired as part of the social development plans for the points of economic growth (the “Single Subsidy”). In total, it is planned to purchase 77 such buses using federal funds allocated to the region through the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

The new equipment in Chita was inspected by the state secretary - the deputy head of the Ministry of East Development Pavel Volkov and the head of the Trans-Baikal Territory Alexander Osipov.

According to Pavel Volkov, much work is now being done to improve the quality of life in Transbaikalia. “Our work is aimed precisely at ensuring that the Trans-Baikal Territory receives federal assistance. I hope that these machines will have trouble-free operation and a long track record, ”said the representative of the Russian Ministry of Eastern Development

In total, more than 625 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, and more than 6 million from the regional budget for the purchase of 77 buses (42 in 2019 and 35 in 2020).

“New equipment is being acquired for plying in remote areas of the city along the most stressful routes. Buses purchased as part of the subsidy will improve the quality of passenger transportation, and uninterrupted operation of public transport in the city will be ensured, ”said Alexander Osipov.

New PAZ buses are designed for 52 seats. All equipment is equipped with special devices for transporting people with limited mobility: a lowering floor level at the second door for installing a ramp for wheelchair users to enter and exit, a communication button with a driver, and an environmental safety class of Euro 5.

Buses are equipped with an emergency call device, 4 video cameras, a DVR and a monitor. Two terminals have been installed that will provide self-paid travel for passengers of all categories, with the issuance of paper tickets of a standard form, including preferential ones. The payment terminal will operate both offline and as part of a hardware-software complex. Also, the new equipment has a system of continuous contactless accounting of incoming and outgoing passengers through the door.

Another 36 buses will arrive in Chita before the end of September this year. These will be LIAZs of three modifications: 26 - for 64 places, 5 - for 74 places and 5 - for 90 places.

What routes these cars will be directed to, the Transbaikal residents themselves decided during a specially conducted survey. New equipment will be launched on routes from October 15. In total, 9 routes are determined that are currently not served. Also, transport accessibility for remote settlements will be provided: Zastepie, Ivanovka, Cheryomushki and others.

Recall plans for the social development of points of economic growth created in all regions of the Far East. The first objects began to be built and reconstructed in 2018. By 2022, 431 social facilities (schools, clinics, hospitals, kindergartens, sports and cultural institutions, roads, etc.) will be built, repaired, and modernized throughout the Far East. More than 95 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget for these events.
