The Ministry Of Industry And Trade Of Russia Discussed The Issues Of Supporting Exhibitions In The Field Of Food Equipment

A meeting was held in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia to support exhibition events in the machine-building industry for the food and processing industry, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry, JSC "Russian Export Center", Rosspetsmash Association, unions and leading manufacturing enterprises.

The event discussed the state of Russian exports of food equipment, development prospects, problems impeding export activities, as well as a list of key congress and exhibition events and business missions for the period 2018-2020.

Of the existing measures to support the promotion of products for export, which can benefit enterprises that produce food equipment, it is possible to identify programs to compensate for costs associated with certification and homologation of products in foreign markets, with participation in exhibition events, as well as with transportation of products.

The outcome of the meeting was the decision on the expediency of supporting the following industry exhibitions: in 2018 - Anuga FoodTec (Germany), IBA (Germany), Agroprodmash (Russia), Gulfood Manufacturing (UAE); in 2019 - Fispal Technologia (Brazil), PackExpo (USA), Agroprodmash (Russia), Host (Italy), Gulfood Manufacturing (UAE); in 2020 - Interpack (Germany), PackExpo (USA), Agroprodmash (Russia), Gulfood Manufacturing (UAE).

Subsidies for the reimbursement of part of the costs associated with the promotion of high-tech, innovative and other products and services to foreign markets are carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia in conjunction with JSC "Russian Export Center" within the framework of Decree No. 488 of the Government of the Russian Federation of 24 April 2017.

So, in 2017 for the amount of 11 million rubles, the organization of a collective Russian exposition of manufacturers of packaging equipment for food products was financed at the International Specialized Exhibition of Packaging Technologies, Materials and Equipment "Interpack 2017" (Germany), and for the amount of 25.6 million rubles - Russian exposition at the International Exhibition "Gulfood Manufacturing 2017" (UAE).

It is expected that the result of the implementation of a package of measures of state support for exports will be an increase in the supply of domestic machinery and equipment for the food and processing industry to foreign markets by 10% annually.
