The Ministry Of Industry And Trade Of Russia Has Signed Six Special Investment Contracts

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has concluded special investment contracts (SPIK) with Volkswagen , GM Automobile , Autotor , PSMA , Toyota and Volvo . This was told by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

The implementation of investment projects in the framework of the signed SPIK will contribute to a stable long-term growth in the production of cars and will provide additional load for manufacturers of automotive components.

Signed SPIKi will help to attract more than 100 billion rubles to the Russian economy. private investment of the world's leading auto companies and localize the production of key components: engines, gearboxes and car control systems. The manufacturers who have signed SPIKI undertake obligations to deepen the localization of already well-established cars, as well as to expand their model range. The implementation of projects involves the delivery of products not only to the domestic, but also to export markets, as well as to carry out research and development in the territory of the Russian Federation. As a result of project implementation, over 1,400 high-tech workplaces will be created , * and over 523 billion rubles will go to budgets of various levels.

So, Volkswagen Group Rus is planning to implement a project to deepen the localization of car models that are already rolled in on the Russian market. The production of engines is assumed with the performance of operations: machining the connecting rod-piston group, crankshaft, cylinder head, cylinder block. In addition, the use of billet crankshaft, cylinder block, head of the Russian-made. It is also planned to localize the gearbox and electronic vehicle control systems.

Volkswagen Group, the leading automaker in the world, is already one of the largest investors in the Russian automotive industry, having invested 1.83 billion euros in its business in Russia. The signing of a special investment contract is the next step of our investment program, under which we intend to modernize the existing model range and significantly expand it in the future. The terms of the special investment contract will be valid until 2028. We very much hope that the future regulation of the automotive industry will duly take into account such a significant level of investment and localization obligations in order to justify the decision to sign a special investment contract
