MISiS together with ZabGU will train Trans-Baikal students in mining

A subdivision of the National University of Science and Technology “MISiS” will appear in the Trans-Baikal Territory in the direction of training engineering personnel in the specialty “Mining”.

“A rational personnel strategy of an enterprise implies close interaction between the employer and the educational organization of higher education. Only in conjunction can you prepare a good specialist. And young people, knowing that you can get a good education and be in demand at home, will think whether to leave for other regions for several times. To stop the outflow of young personnel from the Far East is one of our priorities today, ”said Hasan Hasanbalayev, deputy general director of the non-profit organization“ Agency for the Development of Human Capital in the Far East ”.

NITU "MISiS" - the leading Russian university in the field of materials science, metallurgy and mining. Enrolling in such a university is considered prestigious for Transbaikal youth - with such a diploma they are willing to hire the leading enterprises of the region. But not all schoolchildren have the opportunity to go to the capital for education. Now, the chance to get a popular specialty, remaining in his native city, will be available to future students of the Trans-Baikal State University, because in 2020, recruitment for training in mining will begin, together with the teaching staff of the National Research University "MISiS".

Pavel Avdeev, dean of the Faculty of Mines of ZabGU, also emphasizes the importance of the prospects for cooperation with MISiS: “This will not only be the ongoing training of students in the relevant specialty, but plans to create a basic department of Moscow University, joint laboratories and exchange of experience between teaching staff. Of course, this will affect the quality of education and the interest of young people to stay in the Trans-Baikal Territory. ”

Personnel prospects for their enterprises are also seen by large players in the industrial sector, since there is high competition between companies throughout the Far Eastern Federal District in attracting new specialists to the industry, as their number is limited.

“The Baikal Mining Company supports activities aimed at training personnel for key sectors of the economy, including the opening of divisions of leading Russian universities in the Far Eastern Federal District. At the same time, such training should be carried out in demanded specialties based on the current needs of the regional labor market, ”reports Yuri Ryabov, general director of Baikal Mining Company LLC.

Recall that already 14 divisions of Russian universities will be created in the Far East. The opening of two more in the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia became known from the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation on introducing changes to the training program for key sectors of the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and supporting young people on the labor market for the period up to 2025. The resolution was signed by Dmitry Medvedev on June 17, 2019.

The Human Capital Development Agency in the Far East provides comprehensive support to the largest enterprises of the Far Eastern Federal District to attract the necessary specialists, including placing relevant vacancies on electronic platforms, conducting a primary selection of applicants, forming a pool of potentially interesting candidates and regularly holding job fairs where the most complete information on the situation in the labor market, current vacancies, employers and public employment services aseleniya.
