More than 97 thousand foreigners visited the Far East on an electronic visa

In two years of applying the electronic visa mechanism, 97,204 foreign citizens entered the Far East on an electronic visa. In total, more than 133.9 thousand applications for applying for an electronic visa have been submitted.

This mechanism is most popular with citizens of China who have received more than 104 thousand visas, while more than 76 thousand Chinese people have already used them. In second place were residents of Japan, who received almost 26 thousand visas, more than 19.6 thousand people took advantage of it. On an electronic visa, 234 Singapore citizens and 219 Indian citizens also entered the Far East.

Today, citizens of 19 countries can apply for an electronic visa to visit the Far East: Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, India, Iran, Qatar, China, North Korea, Kuwait, Morocco, Mexico, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey and Japan. Since June 19 of this year, Taiwan has been included in the list of countries, for a month and a half, the Far East was visited by 99 citizens of this state, 271 visas were received.

An application for an electronic visa is accepted on a specialized site. This must be done four days before the intended entry. An electronic visa is issued free of charge, without charging a consular fee.

Today, checkpoints operate in Vladivostok (Knevichi), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo), Blagoveshchensk (Ignatievo), Khabarovsk (Novy), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) and Anadyr (Ugolny), Chita (Kadala) and Ulan-Ude (Baikal ) In addition, maritime checkpoints operate in the Sakhalin Region, Primorsky and Kamchatka Territories. In Primorye, you can get an electronic visa through the railway checkpoints “Border”, “Hassan”, “Makhalino”, automobile checkpoints “Poltavka” and “Turiy Rog”.
