Primorye will double the timber discount for recipients of Far Eastern hectares planning housing construction

Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, the session “Development of Far Eastern hectares: new measures of state support” was held, during which Acting Vice-Governor of Primorsky Krai Mikhail Petrov spoke about a pilot project to expand the provision of preferential timber for recipients of Far Eastern hectares planning to build personal housing.

“We went along the path of development of wooden housing construction. The Primorsky Territory Administration, together with the Agency for the Development of Human Capital in the Far East, has developed a bill that increases the standard for forest production for the construction of a residential building up to 200 cubic meters. This benefit will be provided for citizens who received land in accordance with 119 Federal Law, - said Mikhail Petrov. “This will significantly reduce the cost of building a house, at least material for building a house will be provided at a discount.”

According to him, in order to receive the corresponding benefit, only two conditions will need to be fulfilled: the presence of a Far Eastern hectare with the appropriate type of permitted use, as well as the existence of a contract with the organization of a timber processing complex for the construction of an individual residential building that provides for the extraction and processing of timber. “About 315 hectares were allotted for the pilot project in the Primorsky Territory, which is about 5.5 thousand cubic meters of wood. It is a small territory, but we will monitor how this project will go in the future and adjust its size, ”he added.

At the same time, it is important to note the “Far East Mortgage” project, which is being prepared for implementation, at an unprecedented low interest rate of 2% per annum. Both measures, both together and separately, are designed to increase the affordability of housing construction on Far Eastern hectares.

Recall that the Far Eastern Hectare program provides each citizen of Russia, as well as participants in the State program to facilitate the voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad to the Russian Federation, the right to receive a free land plot of up to one hectare in the territory of nine subjects of the Far East. Since August 1, 2019, the program has spread its effect to the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia, where land can be taken by local residents in the “home” region. Registration of the Far Eastern hectare is free of charge, via the Internet, on the website of the Federal Information System “Far East. Russian Federation”. During the first year, the applicant must determine the type of use of the site, after three years - to declare the progress of development.
