Russia Intends To Take Part In The Creation Of The National Air Carrier Of Hungary

On July 25, during his visit to the Republic of Hungary, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations of Hungary, Peter Siyarto.

The parties discussed the growth of Hungarian commodity exports to Russia in January-May 2017, which on average increased by 37.5% to 844.2 million dollars (compared with the corresponding period in 2016). In particular, it was a question of purchasing Hungarian machinery products by 38.32% to $ 294.7 million, and also finished chemical products - by 47% to $ 315.1 million.

Denis Manturov and Peter Siyarto stated that this may indicate the established partnership relations between the economists of both countries.

The head of the Russian department confirmed readiness to maintain cooperation with the Government of Hungary in the field of transport engineering and aircraft industry.

"Our cooperation in the field of transport engineering has confirmed our consistency and the ability to mutually beneficial compromises," Denis Manturov said. "I believe that the experience gained can be taken into account when working on other projects and is extended to other industries."

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation confirmed Russia's intention to take part in the creation of the National Air Carrier of Hungary - to supply regional aircraft (Sukhoi Superjet) and, in the long term, medium-range aircraft (MS-21), which will begin production in 2019.

In turn, Peter Siyarjato said that currently Hungary is working on the issue of opening regular direct flights to Russian cities from the airport of Sharmelyk, where nearby famous thermal resorts of the republic are located.
