"

The Ka-62 helicopter is designed for passenger transportation, offshore work, emergency medical assistance, search and rescue operations, cargo transportation inside the cabin and external suspension, patrolling and environmental monitoring. Thanks to the high altitude of the practical ceiling and the high thrust of engines, the Ka-62 can also carry out search and rescue and evacuation operations in mountainous areas.

His glider differs by perfect aerodynamic contours, a capacious transport-passenger cabin, a tricycle landing gear with a tail support, and also large portholes, which simultaneously serve as emergency exits. The classic scheme with a multi-bladed steering screw in the annular channel of the vertical tail unit, protected from accidental damage, can also be attributed to distinctive features. In addition, the Ka-62 has a low noise level.

The Ka-62 for the first time in the world helicopter industry has a control system for all-helicopter equipment, an integrated flight-navigation complex of basic equipment with an open architecture has been installed, which implements the principle of a "glass cabin". It is designed to perform flights by a crew of one or two people according to the rules of visual and instrumental flight day and night, various geographical and climatic conditions.
