Russian-Slovak Business Forum Opened In Moscow

he growing level of cooperation between Russia and Slovakia is confirmed by the indicators of mutual trade - its volume last year approached $ 6 billion and continues to grow in 2019. This was told by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov at the opening of the Russian-Slovak business forum. The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Slovak Parliament Andrei Danko.

Slovak business has long been successfully operating in the Russian market of our country.

Our Slovak partners will use preferential regimes established in Russia, in particular, take advantage of the special economic zone. I also urge the business of our countries to actively use the institution of the intergovernmental commission in order to identify their capabilities and find interested partners.

- noted Denis Manturov.

The points of intersection of the interests of Russia and Slovakia are in agricultural engineering, pharmaceuticals, civil aviation, machine tool building and many other industries.

It is especially important for us that, against the background of a general increase in exports of Russian products to Slovakia, the increase in the supply of non-commodity goods continues. We have consolidated financial and managerial resources on the program for the development of industrial and agricultural exports, which opens up additional opportunities for our Slovak partners who can claim state support when implementing export-oriented localization projects in Russia

- said the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

According to Denis Manturov, both Russia and Slovakia follow a course on the formation of attractive and transparent rules for business.

The mutually beneficial, one can say, barrier-free partnership is especially important when it comes to such capacious tasks as the development and the frontal introduction of digital technologies. Here we see a large and practically untapped field for cooperation between the Russian and Slovak businesses. In addition, we have a solid base for solutions in the field of cybersecurity, cloud computing, digital modeling, big data and artificial intelligence.

- stressed the Minister.

In turn, the Chairman of the Slovakian Parliament Andrei Danko expressed confidence that the forum held in Moscow would lead to the conclusion of business contracts.

This meeting is a good example of what can be done. We find joint points of contact. And I am sure that today's negotiations will lead to future contracts between the entrepreneurs of our countries.

- noted Andrei Danko.
