Russian Technology Will Help The Citrus Industry In Cuba

On November 29, in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Director of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Road-Building Machinery Yevgeny Korchevoy met with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Cuba on the restoration and development of the citrus industry of the Republic.

The Cuban representatives informed that the Government of the Republic adopted a program for the restoration and development of the citrus industry in the region and announced their intention to implement it in close cooperation with the Russian Federation, with the participation of Russian producers of agricultural machinery and equipment and machinery for food and processing industries. For example, Cuban farmers plan to purchase from the Russian side high-tech equipment for irrigation and watering fields, as well as equipment for packaging and packaging of finished food products.

To date, the increase in exports of machinery and equipment to the markets of near and far abroad is a priority task facing the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The development of exports of Russian machinery and equipment is facilitated by the preservation of existing and new measures of state support for exports, including measures aimed at homologation and certification of products for the development of new export markets, including markets in the Caribbean region,

said Evgeny Korchevoy.

Following the talks, the Cuban delegation expressed a desire to visit Russian factories that specialize in the production of this equipment and equipment.
