From schoolchild to employee - training seminars of the Far-Eastern Scientific and Industrial Association held in Yakutsk

Questions of best practices in human capital management and retention of young people in the Far East were discussed with representatives of the AREC of Far East, employers and teachers of Yakutia.

The meeting with the heads of large enterprises of the region was held in the educational building of the Higher School of Innovation Management under the Head of the Republic of Sakha Yakutia. Among the listeners are the diamond cutting company Saybm, Yakutskgeologia, the airport of the city of Yakutsk, the Federal Tax Service Directorate of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), etc., altogether - 16 companies.

Svetlana Gorshunova, deputy head of the department for support of relocating to the Far East, ANO ARCHK DV: “Far Eastern employers need specific tools for attracting highly qualified employees to the company, keeping them in a team and increasing their efficiency. And here the question arises not only financial motivation, but also the creation of comfortable working conditions, as well as the inclusion of employees in management decision-making. At the meeting, we presented not only the whole range of possible tools to involve staff in the workflow, but also ready-made successful cases of our partner companies. ”

The methods offered by the Agency have already passed numerous approbations at large enterprises of the Far East - over 3 thousand people have been covered by staff involvement studies, 2 thousand employees of various companies have already passed seminars and trainings on the development of managerial competencies.

In addition, the participants discussed the need to introduce various technologies of lean manufacturing, taking into account the specifics of an enterprise, how to develop the necessary competencies among staff and how to motivate staff to implement these changes. Lean manufacturing is a set of tools, the introduction of which can significantly improve the efficiency of both individual employees and the enterprise as a whole, the mechanics of this tool involve the involvement of direct performers in the decision making.

The second event was devoted to new methods of working with young people for effective employment and further professional development in the Far East. A seminar with the participation of representatives of educational organizations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was held in co-working "Boiling Point - Yakutsk".

“Most often, university graduates, not finding for themselves a home application, leave for the West in search of work. But there are plenty of opportunities for development in the Far East! And this information should be transmitted to schoolchildren, to tell prospects for career growth and professional development in their region, ”says Sergey Lee, a representative of the ARCHK DV in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

For such educational lectures, teachers were presented with the “Navigator of professions in demand”, developed by Agency staff. It contains a guide to the labor market and current professions of the Far East, industry and growth points for young people and other information that will help students decide on future work in the Far East. Also, teachers were taught technology to search for suitable vacancies - so that teachers in an accessible language could explain this to their students.

The dialogue was attended by 24 representatives of the educational sector, including: the Center for the Development of Professional Competences, the State Committee for Employment of Yakutia, the children's teenage center of the city, as well as schools and secondary professional educational institutions in the region. Teachers became interested in the proposed methodologies and expressed a desire to further hold a discussion on the establishment of a dialogue between employers and educational institutions, as well as on master classes for schoolchildren in writing resumes, interviewing and building a successful career in the Far East.

“The region is developing rapidly, and this is undoubtedly promoted by the new economic regimes of TOR and SPV, but schoolchildren lack this knowledge. It is necessary to strengthen the information campaign for pupils of educational institutions in this area, so we started with teachers - after all, they will broadcast opportunities for children to develop in their native land, ”said Svetlana Gorshunova, Deputy Head of the Department for Support for Relocators to the Far East ANO "ARCHK DV".
