St. Petersburg Committee on the Arctic Affairs supports tourism projects of ANO IPA

The implementation of tourism projects in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation was the subject of a meeting between Andrei Lobanov, Acting Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs, Alikhan Khashiyev, Deputy General Director of the Far East Agency for Investment Promotion and Export Support, and Executive Director of the German Lernidee Tourist Company Erlebnisraisen GmbH ”(Lernidee ЕrlebnisreisenGmbН) Nurlan Mukash.

Today, June 5, at the Moscow railway station in St. Petersburg will be held the solemn departure of the first "Arctic" special train "Zarengold" ("Tsar Gold"). “The project has aroused great interest, and it is expected that it will contribute to the expansion of the tourist infrastructure of the Russian North. I want to note that it is not by chance that a tourist train departs from St. Petersburg. Our city has been and remains an important and significant scientific, industrial and cultural platform for the promotion of Arctic projects, ”said Andrei Lobanov, Acting Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs.

The first tourists of the “arctic train” today were able to visit the Smolny Museum with a guided tour. The excursion was organized by the St. Petersburg Committee on Arctic Affairs.

“Lernidea Erlebnisraisen GmbH is a strategic partner of our Agency. This year we have already launched three tours along the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing, and by the end of the year they are planned to be twelve. Now we are launching a pilot project - a train in the Arctic Russian regions, ”Alikhan Khashiyev informed.

According to Nurlan Mukash, Lernidea Erlebnisraisen GmbH was set up with ANO API to actively develop the luxury segment of railway, river and sea tourism in Russian regions with the attraction of investment in tourism projects. “We want to show the beauty and open spaces of Russia. Many Europeans are well aware of their own and neighboring countries, but it is difficult to imagine how vast the territory of Russia is and how different regions there are with its diverse nature and culture. No wonder there is such a Russian proverb that it is better to see once than hear a hundred times. This is exactly what our projects are designed for, ”he said.

In the summer of this year, the German partner plans to launch 4 charter river cruises from Yakutsk to the Lena Delta near Tiksi. Lernidea Erlebnisraisen GmbH and ANO API also develop tourism projects related to visiting Lake Baikal, the Yenisei River and the Far Eastern region.
