In The Vladimir Region, A Large Foundry Was Opened For The Needs Of The Fuel And Energy Complex

Vasily Osmakov, deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, took part in the solemn ceremony of opening the steelmaking production of OOO Gusar in the town of Gus-Khrustalny in the Vladimir region .

LLC "Gusar reinforcement factory" Gusar "was founded in 2002 and is one of the leading Russian enterprises in the field of production of pipeline fittings for the oil and gas complex. Since 2014 the plant is a participant in the import substitution program of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, within the framework of which it produces equipment and components for the oil and gas industry.

Governor of the Vladimir region Svetlana Orlova , President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Sergey Katyrin, Director General of Gusar LLC Alexander Berezkin took part in the opening ceremony of the foundry .

The launch of steelmaking production will provide the "Gusar" reinforcement plant with a high-quality billet for the production of any kinds of shut-off and control valves. The total investment in the implementation of a major investment project for the production of shaped castings from special steel grades amounted to 1.7 billion rubles. The planned volume of output is 7-8 thousand tons of products per year. The output to the designed capacity is expected by the second half of 2018.

This is the most modern Russian plant in such a specific and complex niche as casting. The foundry blanks produced at new capacities will be adapted to work in aggressive, low-temperature environments, which will allow them to operate products from them in offshore projects. The launch of such enterprises makes an important contribution to the implementation of state programs for import substitution and development of the Arctic ,

said Vasily Osmakov.
