The Volume Of Support For Pfd Enterprises In The First Half Of 2017 Amounted To Almost 50 Billion Rubles

 Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Osmakovattended a meeting of the Council with the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, which was held in Penza on September 29, 2017.

The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of measures to stimulate economic growth in the regions of the Volga Federal District (PFD). The plenipotentiary of the President in the Privolzhsky Federal District Mikhail Babich , the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov , the Director of the Department for Regional Development of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia Igor Egorov , the Governor of the Penza Region Ivan Belozertsev , the heads of other regions, representatives of regional authorities, development institutions, and public organizations took part.  

Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Osmakov spoke about the key federal tools for supporting regional industrial projects and about the plans of the ministry to further improve the measures of state support for the real sector of the economy.

In 2016, enterprises located on the territory of the Volga Federal District received support for a total of about 74 billion rubles. In the first half of this year, this volume exceeded already 49.6 billion rubles. The development of new industries in the region is facilitated by the participation of local enterprises in the support programs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Industrial Development Fund. For example, the total amount of subsidizing the interest rate on loans for the implementation of new investment projects in the PFD amounted to 3.8 billion rubles for the last 2.5 years ,

Vasily Osmakov informed.    

During his speech, he also noted the creation last summer in the Penza region of the local Industrial Development Fund, which has already begun accepting applications. It will provide enterprises with soft loans in the amount of 3 to 20 million rubles at 5% per annum for up to 5 years. In total, nine such funds are already operating in the Volga Federal District. In addition to the Penza region, they are established in the Perm region, the republics of Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Mordovia, Udmurtia and Chuvashia, Nizhny Novgorod and Ulyanovsk regions.         

Even before the meeting, its participants evaluated the potential of Penza industrial enterprises, having inspected the exhibition of local commodity producers. The exposition presented the latest developments in the fields of mechanical engineering, machine-tool construction and metalworking, the pharmaceutical industry, and biomedical technologies.

As part of the working visit, Vasily Osmakov also visited the production site of the Penza enterprise StankoMashStroy, one of the leading Russian suppliers of the full range of metalworking equipment, including high-tech turning and milling machines with numerical program control. The deputy minister got acquainted with the company's new developments, plans for localizing the production of components and further development of export activities.
